The above mentioned 3-amino-2H-azirines should be used in the synthesis of peptides, cyclo-peptides, and cyclodepsipeptides containing alpha,alpha-disubstituted alpha-amino acids according to the protocol of the ‘azirine/oxazolone-method’, which has been developed in our laboratory.

a) Synthesis of peptaibols
b) Synthesis of oligopeptides containing alpha,alpha-heterocyclic a-amino acids
c) Synthesis of cyclic peptides containing alpha,alpha-disubstituted glycines
d) Synthesis of cyclic depsipeptides
