Protein Biophysics

A practical introduction into features of protein structures and the methodology to determine them by NMR as part of the lecture BCH 304: Protein Biophysics . The commonly encountered fold are described and the forces responsible for them are introduced. Moreover, a introduction into solution structure determination using homonuclear 2D NMR is presented. Methods to determine internal backbone dynamics by NMR and to describe protein folding are presented and examples are given from literature. There is both a text-based script on the methodology of making solution structures of proteins using NMR

as well as a PDF file of my slides for the protein structure/dynamcis/folding part
